NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – In the NFL, you take points anyway you can, but this week against the Cleveland Browns the Tennessee Titans are looking for touchdowns early.
Against the Dolphins in Miami last week, the Titans scored their first touchdown in the first quarter of any game this season, leading to their highest scoring game of the year with 30 points in a win.
This week against an 0-5 Browns team that is giving up 30 points a game, the Titans are making it a priority to get into the end zone early and get the offense in a rhythm.
“Offensively, you get a score on that first drive and I think it’s huge for the teaM morale throughout the course of the game, and I know we want to start fast,” said DeMarco Murray:
Rishard Matthews added, “It changes a lot of momentum, confidence, excitement, you know when you’re excited and everything is rolling the right way, guys go out there plays are being made you know it just gives us a lot of momentum.”
The Titans will be trying for the 7th time to get their first set of back to back wins since 2013.
