Man wanted after $12K stolen from Goodlettsville jeweler

GOODLETTSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Goodlettsville police are searching for a man they say stole $12,000 worth of jewelry.

It happened Oct. 12 after the suspect walked into Ashcroft & Oak Jewelers and told employees he wanted diamonds for his girlfriend.

Police say that when an employee handed the man some earrings, he smiled, turned, and walked away calmly.

News 2 learned the man did not run until he got to Smart Buys Furniture and then he ran out of sight. The suspect got into the passenger’s side of a maroon four-door sedan that was waiting outside Dillard’s.
