27-story Westin hotel brings more rooms to Music City

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Hundreds of new hotel rooms are now open for business in downtown Nashville at the 27-story Westin Nashville Hotel.

The hotel opened for business Thursday.

Dawn Raymond and her family were the first guests to check in. For the last eight years, the group from North Carolina takes a girls trip, selecting Music City as their vacation destination for 2016.

“We were super excited to come and very honored to be the first guests at the Weston,” said Raymond.

The hotel features more than 450 guest rooms and suites, a 20,000 square foot meeting space, a restaurant and lounge, resort spa, fitness center and more.

Christine Scorza from Chicago was the second guest to check in.

She’s celebrating her birthday in Music City with 18 of her closest friends.

“Exciting, very exciting. Never stayed at a new hotel,” said Scorza.

Currently, the average cost of a room is about $399 per night and the new hotel is already fully booked for this weekend.
