Murfreesboro elementary teacher arrested for DUI

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WKRN) – A teacher at a Murfreesboro elementary school was arrested for driving under the influence.

Melanie Heston is accused of hitting several mailboxes on Contessa Court Tuesday night before she was taken into custody.

Police reported that when they arrived, Heston allegedly admitted to drinking two glasses of wine.

According to the report, Heston is a teacher at Scales Elementary School.
