MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) – A 2-year-old boy was killed and an adult injured in a Montgomery County crash Tuesday morning.
The accident happened on Highway 76 around 9:30 a.m. when the Tennessee Highway Patrol says a Chevrolet Impala was traveling west when it crossed the center line.
The Impala hit a cement mixer head-on.
The 28-year-old driver was injured. A two-year-old child inside the car was killed. The toddler’s identity has not been released.
Lt. Teddy Douglas with the THP told news 2 the child was in a car seat at the time of the crash but not properly restrained.
Neither the 19-year-old passenger in the car nor the driver of the cement truck was injured.
Charges are pending, according to the THP report. The investigation is ongoing.
