RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) – The cities of La Vergne and Murfreesboro, along with Rutherford County officials, have issued burn bans.
All bans were enacted until further notice, citing dry vegetation and a lack of rainfall.
“Until we receive a substantial amount of rain, we will not lift the open burn ban,” said Rutherford County Fire-Rescue’s Fire Chief Larry Farley. “Conditions right now are not safe for opening burning.”
According to local Weather forecast, Rutherford County is not expected to receive any rain fall for the next 10 days.
“We appreciate everyone’s cooperation, and will announce the lift as soon as conditions become safe to burn again,” Farley continued.”
Rutherford’s burn bad was lifted on Oct. 21.
