NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A firefighter was injured while responding to a fire at a south Nashville home early Sunday morning.
It happened in 2900 block of Dobbs Avenue near Thompson Lane around 2 a.m.
Fire crews arrived to find flames shooting out from the attic and side of the house.
One firefighter injured his knee and was transported to an area hospital where he was treated and released.
Fire officials told News 2 the home was under renovation and the attic was being converted into a living space.
Most of the damage was contained to the attic area with the first floor suffering water damage.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
