COLLEGE STATION, Texas (WKRN) – No. 9 Tennessee’s 11-game win streak was brought to a halt Saturday when they were defeated 45-38 in double-overtime by No. 8 Texas A&M.
It was the first time the two teams had met during the regular season and both opponents were undefeated before the match up at Kyle Field.
Trailing by 21 points, the Vols once again found themselves making a comeback for the fourth straight week, but their seven turnovers and 12 penalties proved to be too costly.
After the offense fumbled the football five times Quarterback Josh Dobbs said, “we’re moving the ball throughout the game, we’re shooting ourselves in the foot but we can move it at will we just have to take care of the football.”
During the game Defensive Lineman Danny O’Brien took a hit to the head causing a 15-minute delay. He was carted off the field but is moving all 4 extremities. He was taken to an area hospital as a precaution but numerous reports indicate he flew back to Knoxville with the team.
