NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — News 2 Meteorologist Danielle Breezy and morning Reporter Paige Hill will emcee this year’s Nashville Heart Walk.
The walk will be held Saturday, Oct. 15 at the Vanderbilt Sports Field.
“I am really looking forward to being a part of the Greater Nashville Heart Walk,” said Breezy. “We lost my grandfather too soon to a heart attack, so this mission really means a lot to me. So grab your loved ones, lace up your shoestrings, and come walk with me and together we can all live a more heart healthy lifestyle.”
Over 8,000 people are expected to participate in the event.
“I can’t wait to be with all of the walkers who show up in the thousands for the American Heart Association,” said Hill. “It’s going to be a great day to get out there with friends and family to remind each other to be heart healthy.”
Tennessee has the 7th highest death rate from cardiovascular disease in the country. In Davidson County alone, 28 percent of all annual deaths are attributed to cardiovascular disease and stroke.
Funds raised at the Nashville Heart Walk will help the American Heart Association to carry on its lifesaving work through research, education and community health programs.
