NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – It’s not all bad for the Tennessee Titans, despite a 1-3 start to the season. Nearly half of the NFL have the same record with 13 teams touting a 1-3 mark four games into the season.
Two of those teams are division rivals Indianapolis and Jacksonville, giving the Titans a realistic shot at finishing in the top half of the AFC South.
With 12 teams making the playoffs at the end of the season, there’s a good chance that at least a couple of the teams sitting at 1-3 will be in the playoff mix, and the Titans think they can be one of them.
“We’re still in there, we have a favorable division that we’re in. Like you said, 13 other teams are 1-3. You know it’s still early, there’s no need to get low,” said Brian Orakpo.
Delanie Walker agreed.
“Every team I think we’re playing is 1-3 right now, so this is something we gotta look forward to going in there and getting some W’s. We all in the same situation, but our record doesn’t really show how good we really are so I think this is a good opportunity for us,” stated Walker.
“To be honest, we’re really not concerned about the other 1, but we’re 1-3,” explained Karl Klug. “We made some plays that were the reason we are 1-3 but moving forward looking to correct those.”
Las Vegas has the Titans with the easiest schedule in the NFL through the last 12 weeks and starting with the Dolphins who are also at 1-3.
The Titans are hoping to build momentum through the weaker stretch of their schedule.
