NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Keith Urban will headline the New Year’s Eve celebration in downtown Nashville.

“What could be better than New Year’s Eve in downtown Nashville,” Urban said in a release. “It’s an awesome way to ring in 2017, and I can’t wait for the party!”

He’ll be joined by Styx, Moon Taxi, A Thousand Horses, Charlie Worsham, and the Fisk Jubilee Singers.

The concerts will be held at Bicentennial Mall State Park for the first time ever.

Once called the Jack Daniel’s Bash on Broadway, the official name is now Jack Daniel’s Music City Midnight: New Year’s Eve in Nashville.

The Nashville Convention and Visitors Corp (NCVC) said the music note drop and fireworks display will now have the backdrop of the Tennessee State Capitol building and Nashville skyline.

“Our famed New Year’s Eve event has grown exponentially over the last few years, resulting in the need to expand the footprint,” said Beth Seigenthaler Courtney, NCVC board chair and managing partner and president of DVL Seigenthaler.

There will also be a secondary fireworks show across the Cumberland River. Shuttles will run between locations to allow partygoers to enjoy them both.

Last year’s event brought more than 150,000 people to downtown Nashville and generated an estimated $22.2 million in visitor spending.
