15-year-old arrested for attempted robbery

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A 15-year-old was arrested for an attempted robbery Thursday.

It happened at 9:45 a.m. outside the Public Square parking garage at 101 James Robertson Parkway.

Metro police say the suspect was wearing a black mask when he approached a man and demanded his wallet and cell phone. The victim refused and the teen fled on foot empty handed.

The suspect was later found in the 400 block of Charlotte Avenue, and his mask and sweatshirt were recovered from a plant bed on James Robertson Parkway.

He has been charged with attempted robbery in Juvenile Court.
