NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – It’s not a job many people would want every day, but for one day, it could be fun. We’re talking about the position Nashville’s mayor.
One local boy was recently chosen to become Mayor for a Day, and News 2 caught up with Zachary Cecil to hear all about it.
The Rose Park Middle School student read 10 books in 4,500 minutes to earn the spot as Nashville’s mayor for a summer reading challenge.
He got hang out with not only Mayor Megan Barry but also Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam.
“It was fun because I got to do stuff I never thought I would ever get to do,” Zachary told News 2.
He said he advised the mayor’s office on one in particular—traffic.
