2 families displaced after Murfreesboro duplex fire

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WKRN) – Two families were displaced from their home after a duplex fire in Murfreesboro Tuesday night.

Murfreesboro Fire and Rescue reported the fire began at a duplex in the 700 block of North Maney Avenue around Midnight.

Crews arrived to find heavy smoke and fire in the attic of the duplex.

According to Shift Commander Daryl Alexander, crews did an excellent job of knocking the fire down quickly.

Residents from both sides of the duplex were displaced but only one of the families required assistance from the American Red Cross.

No one was injured and no additional information was immediately released.
