Pedestrian hit by car in south Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A pedestrian was hit by a car while walking in south Nashville Sunday night.

It happened at 9:30 p.m. on Lafayette Street near Second Avenue South.

Metro police said the victim stepped into traffic and the driver did not have time to stop.

The victim has non-life threatening injuries. Their identity has not been released.

Authorities have yet to release further details.
