Boy, 6, remains in critical condition after S.C. school shooting

GREENVILLE, S.C. (WKRN) – A 6-year-old boy who was shot Wednesday at a South Carolina elementary school remains in critical condition.

Jacob Hall is being treated at Greenville Memorial Hospital. According to WSPA, Jacob suffered massive blood loss after being shot in the leg.

The hospital says he has also undergone several surgeries to stabilize his condition.

His family released a statement Thursday night that said in part, “Jacob is a very sick little boy and is fighting for his life. Due to the massive blood loss he has suffered a major brain injury. Jacob is in very critical condition and we are hanging on every second.”

The family also asked the community to continue to pray for their son and the other victims of “this horrible, senseless act.”
