HOUSTON, Texas (WKRN) – As expected, the Houston Texans placed star defensive lineman J.J. Watt on injured reserve Wednesday.
The 2014 and 2015 NFL Defensive Player of the Year re-injured his back after having surgery in July to repair a herniated disc.
It’s a huge blow to the Texans defense and a huge break to the Tennessee Titans who visit the Texans this Sunday.
Watt has dominated the Titans since he entered the league with 15.5 sacks against them.
Titans head coach Mike Mularkey said Watt’s absence will not change their game plan.
