Man shot, killed during apparent road rage incident in Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A man was shot and killed during an apparent road rage incident in northwest Nashville Wednesday afternoon.

According to a release from Metro police, Christopher Sparks was hit by gunfire on Ed Temple Blvd. during an apparent verbal argument with at least one occupant in a second car.

Witnesses reported that Sparks, 36, was traveling southbound in a red Honda Accord while engaged in a loud argument with someone in a gray or silver sedan with dark tinted windows. Shots were fired near the intersection of Buchanan Street just after 12:30 p.m.

Police said the gunfire went through Sparks’ driver’s side door. He died at the scene.

The suspect was last seen driving on Buchanan Street. A description was not immediately known.
