Police ask for public’s help identifying men who shot, killed tourist

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Metro police is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the men responsible for shooting and killing a California man during an attempted robbery in downtown Sunday night.

Teddy Grasset and his friend, who were visiting from Los Angeles, were walking on Fourth Avenue South when a silver or gray Chevrolet sedan with a sunroof and spoiler on the trunk pulled up behind them.

Two men got out of the car, while the driver remained inside. Grasset was shot and killed as he tried to run away.

Detectives are asking any citizen with information to call Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. Callers can remain anonymous and are eligible for a cash reward up to $1,000.
