MTSU suspends head volleyball coach

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WKRN) – Middle Tennessee State University has indefinitely suspended its head volleyball coach.

It was not immediately clear what led to the suspension of Dan Ahiers.

He was previously placed on paid administrative leave on Sept. 13. Ahiers also coached nine games this season before missing the last four.

Jeff Huebner, the assistant head coach, has filled in as interim coach during Ahiers’ suspension.

No other details about the issue have been released at this time.
