FRANKLIN, Tenn. (WKRN) – The Franklin Police Department celebrated two graduating K-9s on Friday.

Jenks and Duke each underwent an intensive 28-week training program to prepare them for life as a police K-9.

Both German Shepherds are 2-years-old and are from Europe. Jenks was named in honor of Trooper Calvin Jenks, who was murdered while protecting Tennesseans in 2007.

Jenks is assigned to Officer Brett Spivy, while Duke will work with Officer Kenneth Gibbs.
