NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – He has yet to play a snap this season, but wide receiver Kendall Wright could be a very important piece of the Titans puzzle.
With 94 catches three years ago and facing the final year of his contract, there is no bigger motivator for Wright’s return to be a productive one.
One of the criticisms through the first two weeks of the NFL season is that the Titans do not have a big play receiver who can spread the field and Wright could be the guy to change all of that.
Asked if Wright could be the dynamic receiver the Titans are looking for, it was a resounding yes from the head coach and players.
“Well I think it’ll help other positions, you know, Delanie, take a little pressure off… really to have a full force of your best weapons. We haven’t had that yet and it’ll be nice to have that. The sooner the better,” said Mike Mularkey, head coach.
“Well to have a player like Kendall who’s versatile, who can make a bunch of plays across the field, it’s gonna help us no matter what whenever he comes in,” Marcus Mariota added.
There is no timetable for Kendall Wright’s return, but the team is optimistic that he may possibly play Sunday against the Raiders.
