Fire Dept: Construction crew hits gas line in downtown Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A construction crew hit a gas line in downtown Nashville Wednesday afternoon.

Brian Haas of the Nashville Fire Department said crews hit a 3/4 inch plastic service line leading to a hotel currently under construction.

No gas is blowing at this time and crews are working to repair the line.

Third Avenue from Korean Veterans Boulevard to Demonbreun Street is closed and Metro police are currently directing traffic in the affected area.
