20-month-old child bitten by copperhead at Clarksville preschool

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A 20-month-old child was bitten by a copperhead at a Clarksville preschool Wednesday morning.

Deputy fire chief Ray Williams told News 2 the department responded to the call at Little Country School House located on MLK Jr. Parkway, not far from Interstate 24.

According to Williams, the copperhead was outside the building this morning.

The child was transported to Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital in Nashville. Their condition was not immediately known.
