Victim shot 3 times, once in head, in East Nashville; Suspects at large

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Someone was shot three times, including once in the head, Tuesday night in East Nashville.

Police told News 2 it happened at 8:25 p.m. as a group of people were standing on the corner of Chester and Scott avenues near the stop sign.

One witness told authorities “everyone looked friendly” before hearing gunshots. The witness reportedly saw one of the suspects stand over the victim after he was on the ground and continue firing shots.

The victim was hit three times—once in the back, once in the side, and once in the head. Miraculously, police say the victim’s injuries are not considered life-threatening.

Metro police say the suspects then fled on foot toward Porter Avenue. It’s unclear how many there were or what their descriptions are.
