NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A man was injured when he was hit by a car in the heart of east Nashville early Sunday morning.
It happened near the Five Points intersection, on Gallatin Pike at Forrest Avenue, around 1 a.m.
Metro police told News 2 the man was crossing Gallatin Pike behind two other people when he was hit.
The man was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Officers at the scene reported the victim was wearing dark clothing and the driver told police he did not see the man prior to the crash, according to police.
Metro police said the driver showed no signs of impairment but it is unknown if any charges will be filed.
The three pedestrians were coming from the Five Points area and there were indications they had been drinking, authorities said.
No additional information was immediately released.
