Crash slows traffic on I-40 West at Charlotte Pike

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A single-car crash slowed traffic on Interstate 40 West in Nashville Saturday.

It happened shortly before 11 a.m. at mile marker 201, which is near Charlotte Pike.

Metro police told News 2 a 47-year-old driver sustained life-threatening injuries. The fatal team was called to the scene.

All the westbound lanes were closed for several hours, but they reopened around 3 p.m.

No other details about the crash were immediately released.
