NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A man suspected of robbing the 100 Oaks Waffle House in July was arrested Thursday.
According to a Metro police affidavit, Robert Johnston, 33, entered the restaurant and ordered chocolate milk before walking to the restroom.
After the suspect exited the restroom, Johnston went to pay his bill and allegedly pulled out a handgun. He took cash from the register before fleeing in a dark-colored Mitsubishi sedan, according to police.
Metro police reported Johnston took approximately $520 in cash.
He was identified in a photo lineup by the Waffle House employee and by a fingerprint left on the glass of chocolate milk, according to police.
Johnston was booked into the Metro jail and charged with aggravated robbery. His bond was set at $80,000.
