NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Metro police and school officials are investigating an alleged threat made on McGavock High School Friday.
Concerned parents notified police and the school with concerns after a social media post of the alleged threat circulated online.
Ameerah Palacios with Metro Nashville Public Schools told News 2 extra patrols were dispatched to assure the safety of the school.
McGavock was not placed on lockdown at any time.
“The school has been determined as a safe place for students, but the extra patrols will remain throughout the day as a precaution,” said Palacios.
