CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A man wanted for impersonating a Hopkinsville officer was arrested in Clarksville Thursday.

Jerry Ballesteros, 42, allegedly contacted three different Enterprise Car Rental businesses in Clarksville and identified himself as Lieutenant Davis from the Hopkinsville Police Department on September 9, according to police.

Authorities said that during the calls he attempted to take donations for the Fraternal Order of Police.

A detective from Hopkinsville Police Department said there is no Lt. Davis at their department and Ballesteros has no affiliation with the FOP.

Ballesteros was booked into the Montgomery County jail and charged with criminal impersonation. His bond was set at $25,000.
