NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – The Tennessee Performing Arts Center kicks off its Broadway season this year with “Evita.”
This production of the Andrew Lloyd Webber classic is partnership between TPAC and Studio Tenn in Franklin.
It tells the story of the rise and fall of Argentinian first lady Evita Peron. Broadway actress Eden Espinosa plays the title role.
“Loving musical theatre, the role of Eva is a role that women would love to play, I think just because of the song, the vocal part of it is so demanding and difficult, but then as I did my research and got to know my version of the character a little more, her strength is just astounding,” Espinosa told News 2.
The show runs through this Sunday with matinees on both Saturday and Sunday.
