Police: Teen hired homeless man to stab 2 people on Lower Broad

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A Nashville man allegedly admitted he hired a homeless man to stab two people outside a Lower Broadway bar early Sunday morning.

Metro police reported 18-year-old Brent Rodriguez turned himself in to officials Monday.

According to an affidavit, Rodriguez told police he hired the man outside of Tequila Cowboy near the intersection of Third Avenue and Broadway.

Rodriguez also told police he provided the knife to the homeless man, according to police.

The victims, including the homeless man, were injured in the incident and received treatment for non-life threatening injuries.

Rodriguez was booked into the Metro jail and charged with facilitation of aggravated assault. His bond was set at $15,000.
