NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – It’s been a growing theme since the start of the Jon Robinson and Mike Mularkey era–support for the other pro team in Nashville.

The Titans had a strong presence when the Nashville Predators were in the playoffs, and now the Preds are repaying the favor.

Forward James Neal and newly-acquired defenseman PK Subban were on the Titans practice field Wednesday as the team gets ready for their week two match-up against Detroit.

Subban said his favorite NFL player is running back DeMarco Murray, and the two got to talk after practice and snap a few pictures.

It’s becoming more and more common that both the Titans and Predators are showing up to each other’s events, and it’s a relationship that both coaches and players are happy to see flourish.

“The coaching staff is going to be out here soon to take a look at our facilities, and the players showing their support is really good for our guys,” said Titans head coach Mike Mularkey. “I think it’s neat on both ends. It’s outstanding that these two teams can support each other like they do.”

“It’s cool to see, you know, support of the community, especially from those guys. It was fun to watch them and I look forward to their season as well,” quarterback Marcus Mariota added.
