FORT CAMPBELL, Ky.- (WKRN) – Five soldiers were injured when their helicopter made a hard landing at Fort Campbell late Wednesday night.
According to a release from Fort Campbell officials, the helicopter made the hard landing during a routine training exercise around 10:30 p.m.
All five soldiers aboard the aircraft suffered injuries and were transported to area hospitals.
Two of those crew members were taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where they are in stable condition. The other three soldiers were taken to Blanchfield Army Community Hospital at Fort Campbell and have been released.
The extent of the injuries sustained was not immediately released and the incident is under investigation.
No additional information was immediately released.
