Metro police seek witness in fatal west Nashville shooting

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Metro police are seeking help from the public in locating a witness caught on surveillance camera just minutes before a murder Sunday morning in west Nashville.

A release from Metro police reports the female witness arrived at the Waffle House on White Bridge Pike and Charlotte Pike around 2:30 a.m.

Robert Saine, 36, arrived at the same time in a separate vehicle.

Surveillance video reportedly shows the woman go into the restaurant to place an order while Saine waited in his car.

While waiting, Saine got into an altercation with the woman and several men on the property.

One of those men shot Saine, who later died.

After the shooting, the woman and the men left in two separate cars.
