NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Police questioned three men after a break-in at a south Nashville gun store Tuesday morning.
Investigators said the back door had been kicked in and holes had been punched in the drywall with pipes at Shooter’s Guns and Ammo on Murfreesboro Road near Polk Avenue.
The room which had been broken into had several long guns inside but the holes in the wall did not make it all the way to the main store area.
Officers told News 2 they spotted a white truck trying to leave the area with a 21-year-old man and a 15-year-old female relative inside.
The teen was taken to a local hospital while police spoke to the man.
While speaking with him, two more men showed up claiming to be the man’s friends.
Police told News 2 the men appeared to have drywall dust on their pants.
All three men went with police to be questioned. One man, 21-year-old Rutherford Fisher, was arrested and charged with burglary, assault of an officer for allegedly kicking the arresting officer and vandalism. His bond was set at $42,000.
No further information was immediately released.
