NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Two self-service kiosks have been added in Davidson County to help reduce wait times at driver services centers for residents who need to renew or replace their driver license or state identification card.
The new kiosks are located at the Bellevue Public Library at 720 Baugh Road and the Metro Center in the lobby of the Department of Labor and Workforce Development at 220 French Landing Drive.
“We appreciate the city of Nashville providing us this opportunity to better serve the citizens of Tennessee,” Driver Services Division Assistant Commissioner Lori Bullard said. “This will help cut wait times at Driver Services Centers, while delivering quick and easy service.”
Tennessee citizens may use the kiosk to renew or replace an existing driver license or state identification card.
The kiosk takes a photo and uses facial verification to verify the image on record. It processes credit card payment and prints an interim license, which is valid for 20 days.
The license or ID card is then mailed to the applicant’s home address.
