NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – The Titans had first dibs on every player waived in the NFL Saturday, and they only put in a claim on one: tight end Jace Amaro from the New York Jets.

Amaro was drafted in the second round in 2014 and was second on the Jets in receptions with 38 for 345 and two touchdowns that season.

In college at Texas Tech, Amaro played in 32 games and totaled 136 receptions for 1,818 yards and 13 touchdowns.

To make room on the roster, the Titans waived rookie defensive lineman Medhi Abdesmad.
