Woman dies after crashing into Donelson ditch

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A 64-year-old woman was killed after her car crashed into a ditch in the Donelson area early Thursday morning.

Police said Pamela Myatt was driving her 1991 Toyota Camry south on Acorn Drive around 12:45 a.m. when her car left the roadway while negotiating a curve and struck a concrete culvert.

She was taken to TriStar Summit Medical Center where she died.

Metro police told News 2 the woman is employed in the area and had recently gotten off work.

Some of her co-workers were taking a lunch break when they saw her crashed vehicle and called 911.

It is still unknown why Myatt lost control of her car. Police said there was no evidence of drug or alcohol involvement at the scene.
