MIAMI (WKRN) – Derrick Henry scored the opening touchdown, and the Titans never trailed the Dolphins winning 21-10 in the preseason finale.

A lot of guys were battling for spots and Antonio Andrews made a strong case to make the team scoring twice to give the Titans a 21-7 lead at halftime.

Alex Tanney played the majority of the snaps at quarterback and was picked off twice going 17-20 for 168 yards.

Derrick Henry had 7 carries for 62 yards averaging nearly 9 yards a touch to lead the Titans while Andrews carried 9 times for 32 yards and his two touchdowns.

Rookie safety Kevin Byard had a late interception to prevent a Dolphins touchdown at the end of the half, and the defense held Miami to just 3 points in the second half.

Cut day is Saturday for the Titans, and of the 75 players on the roster, 22 of them have to go.

“Nobody can walk out of here and leave that building. You know, when we make these decisions not proud of themselves for what they did, they did everything they could and unfortunately I can’t keep them all,” said head coach Mike Mularkey.

The Titans have to trim their roster to 53 players by 3 p.m. Saturday.
