Driver arrested after attempting to flee from Mt. Juliet police

MT. JULIET, Tenn. (WKRN) – A man was arrested after attempting to flee from a traffic stop in Mt. Juliet Tuesday night.

Mt. Juliet police reported Terrance Rice, 43, of Old Hickory, made an illegal movement in his pickup truck along Lebanon Road around 8 p.m.

When the officer attempted to stop Rice, he reportedly did not stop and drove recklessly through a neighborhood.

Rice eventually stopped on Teresa Drive where officers reported he smelled of marijuana. A pack of rolling papers was also found inside the truck ,according to police.

Rice was booked into the Wilson County jail and charged with felony evading arrest, driving on a revoked license and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
