Shooting reported in Raleigh, N.C. during police foot chase

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) – Witnesses tell News 2 partner CBS North Carolina that shots were fired after police approached a house on Donald Ross Dr. and a foot chase ensued.

About 50 cruisers could be seen at nearby Wake Med Hospital as unconfirmed reports circulated that a police officer was shot.

As of noon, police vehicles also line Donald Ross Drive as part of the active crime scene.
