WILSON COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) – Officials for the Wilson County Fair say that rainy weather is to blame for the lower attendance this year.

News 2 has learned 467,236 people attended this year’s two-week fair, which is down more than 90,000 from 2015.

Officials said even with the lower number of attendees than usual, it is still the fair’s sixth highest attendance in its 37 year history.

The Wilson County Fair wrapped up on Friday.
