CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — No criminal charges will be filed following an investigation of the Northeast High School football team by the Clarksville Police Department.
The investigation was launched on August 18 at the request of the Clarksville Montgomery County School System.
According to Clarksville police, the investigation failed to produce sufficient evidence for criminal charges.
“At no time was a member of the coaching staff a focus of the investigation,” stated the report.
Police said the investigation uncovered inappropriate activities which they say occurred by student athletes.
That information was turned over to the school system for further internal investigation.
