NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Local teens received a lesson on safe driving this weekend.
Bridgestone Americas hosted the Teen Drive Smart event at Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center.
The free workshop paired classroom instruction with interactive driving exercises to help young drivers make smart decisions on the road.
“I think this is awesome,” Ryan Bobrow told News 2. “I have friends that have gotten into a couple of accidents. Teens and like other friends or like school people learn how to drive like how to be safe on the road.”
Participants had to be between 15 and 21-years-old with a driver’s license or learner’s permit.
According to Bridgestone Americas, attendees with at least 30 hours of driving experience gain the most from the program.
