NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A Vanderbilt emergency room doctor came to the aid of a man when he was thrown from his vehicle on Interstate 40 early Sunday morning.
It happened near the Charlotte Pike exit around 2 a.m.
After the man lost control of his vehicle and was thrown from the car, an emergency room doctor with Vanderbilt University Medical Center stopped to assist him until paramedics arrived.
The driver suffered only minor injuries in the crash.
Metro police are investigating to determine if the driver had been drinking prior to the crash.
No additional information was immediately released.
