NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – One of the owners of a south Nashville Bar-B-Cutie restaurant was shot during a robbery at her business Sunday.
It happened shortly after 2 p.m. at the location on 5221 Nolensville Pike.
According to Metro police, 52-year-old Annie McFarland was sitting in her car after picking up the daily deposits when she was approached by a gunman.
Without saying a word, the suspect reportedly fired through the driver’s side window, hitting McFarland in the chin. The gunman then grabbed the deposit bag and fled with an accomplice.
They reportedly went to a nearby apartment complex.
McFarland was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where she remains hospitalized in stable condition.
