Man crushed to death while working underneath car in Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A man was crushed to death Wednesday while working underneath a car near Sylvan Park and the Nations.

It happened Wednesday at 4:15 p.m. at the Richland Creek Shopping Center on Charlotte Avenue across from 54th.

The victim was reportedly working underneath the trunk of the car when the it slipped off the jack.

He died at the scene. His identity has not been released.

Authorities told News 2 the victim was not working on his own car; he was hired to work on someone else’s car in the lot.

Police say the man had worked on the vehicle before and there is no suspicion of foul play.
