NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – We’re just three days away from the Titans preseason opener against San Diego.
Like any training camp, this team has had its ups and downs, and so far the defense has clearly looked ahead of the offense.
What we do know is this team is ready to play someone else, and Saturday night they get their chance when former head coach Ken Whisenhunt returns to Nissan Stadium as offensive coordinator of the Chargers.
“I’m looking forward to seeing him. I’ve seen him since last season, you know. We saw each other at the Senior Bowl and the Combine. We’ve talked many a times; I’m looking forward to seeing Ken,” current head coach Mike Mularkey said.
“Definitely got something to prove. I guarantee they got something in store for us. Probably not in the preseason, but definitely for the regular season,” said Brian Orakpo.
Quarterback Zach Mettenberger is also making his return to Nissan Stadium. He was picked up by San Diego after he was released by the Titans this spring.
The Titans host the Chargers Saturday night at 7 p.m. You can watch the game on News 2.
