NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – With Metro schools several day into the 2016-2017 school year, officials are learning how many students have not had their vaccinations.

According to school officials, currently around 50 percent of seventh graders have not had their required immunizations or don’t have their records on file.

“We have three clinics here in Nashville – Lentz Health Center, Woodbine Health Center and East Health Center – that offer immunizations Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.,” said Brian Todd with the Metro Public Health Department.

Students are required to have their immunization records on file or they risk being sent home from school.
